Booking & payment

How do I book a car?

Search for a car, pick your dates and pickup option, and you'll see the full price. Tap "Book" and pay a small deposit online to confirm. You'll get a confirmation with your host's details.

How does payment work?

You pay a small deposit online to lock in the car. The rest you pay your host directly at pickup, in cash or by card. You see the full price before you book, with nothing added in between.

What is the deposit I pay online?

It's a small part of the total, paid when you book, to confirm the car and hold your dates. It comes off the total, so the amount left to pay your host at pickup is simply the rest.

Can I change my booking?

Message your host through the booking to ask about changing dates or details. Changes are up to the host and their availability.

Can I cancel, and do I get a refund?

You can cancel, but the online deposit isn't refundable, since your host held those dates just for you. You're never charged the rest. If the host cancels, your deposit is refunded in full.

Pickup & return

Where do I pick up the car?

The pickup location is set by your host and shown on the listing and in your confirmation. You arrange the exact spot and time with your host through messages.

Can I pick up at the airport?

Often, yes. Many hosts offer airport pickup or have the car ready for you at Hato. If a host does, you'll see it as a pickup option on the listing before you book.

What if I'm running late for pickup?

Message your host as soon as you know. Pickup is arranged directly between you and the host, so a quick heads-up usually sorts it out.

How does fuel work?

Most hosts are full-to-full: pick the car up full and bring it back full. The exact policy is on every listing, so there's nothing to guess.

How do I return the car?

Return it at the agreed time and place, settle anything outstanding with your host, and hand back the keys. Your host confirms the return.

Deposit, insurance & damage

How do insurance and the deposit work?

GoDushi doesn't hold a deposit. Some hosts ask for a refundable cash or card hold at pickup, and insurance is arranged with the host. Whatever applies is shown on the listing before you book. Note that car insurance from abroad usually doesn't cover Curaçao.

What if something happens to the car?

Damage is settled directly with your host, based on a repair estimate. If you can't agree, GoDushi steps in to mediate.

What if the host doesn't show up?

You can message your host directly at any time. If something goes wrong at pickup, GoDushi steps in to help, and your deposit is refunded in full if the host cancels.

When do refunds arrive?

When a refund is due, it goes back to the card you paid with. Card refunds usually take a few business days to appear, depending on your bank.

Requirements & trust

Is GoDushi safe to book with?

GoDushi is a Curaçao-based platform and every car comes from a real, registered local rental business. You only pay a small deposit online; the rest you settle in person with the host at pickup.

What licence do I need, and how old do I have to be?

A valid driver's licence and usually a minimum age of 21, though some hosts set it higher. The exact requirement is on every listing, and most licences are accepted without an international permit.

Can I add another driver?

Yes, where the host allows it. You can add additional drivers during booking; the host verifies each driver's licence at pickup. Some hosts charge a small fee per extra driver, shown before you book.
